Minutes of the meeting of PECOSA Executive Committee for the year 2024-26
held at 11 A.M in office of PECOSA, Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh on
04th January, 2025.

1 Approval of MOM of last EC meeting held on 21th Dec 2024- Minutes of the meeting held on
21th December were approved by the EC members.
2. Approval of Financial Aid for Two students of PEC as requested by Director PEC: -The EC
decided to approve the request raised by Director PEC regarding financial aid on sympathetic
ground for
a) Dabayan Chakrovorty SID 24109028 (PRODUCTION and INDUSTRIAL ENGINNERING )as per
memo no PEC/HACIR/2024/278 dated 24.12.2024. The request is based on the unfortunate
circumstances that both of his parents passed away during COVID 19 pandemic within a span of
10 days. Since then he has been living under the care of his brother. Accordingly PECOSA Approved
the financial assistance covering annual tuition fee of Rs 1,76,000/- and annual hostel charges of
Rs 81,500/- i.e total Rs 2,57,500/- for one year only.
b) Mr. Souradip Roy SID21108066 (Mettalurgy and Material Engineering) as per memo no
PEC/HCAIR/2024/279 dated 24.12.2024. The request is based on the unfortunate circumstance
of the untimely death of his father (only earning member in the family). Accordingly PECOSA
Approved the financial assistance covering annual tuition fee of Rs 1,60,000/- and annual hostel
charges of Rs 75,100/- i.e total Rs 2,35,100/- for one year only
3. Preparations for Global Alumni Meet and detailed discussions –It was discussed that since only
few days are left for the Global Alumni Meet, the concern was about low registrations and
sponsorships etc.
For making the Souvenir following EC Members will provide the complete data to the GS.

Above member were requested to submit complete details within 5 days to GS.
Catering/Tent: – It was decided to ask Mr Girish of Blue bell caterers to submit his proposal which will
be deliberated in next meeting.
Photographer- Er Akshaye Raj Aggarwal has been assigned the duty to finalise the photographer
proposal along with the rates and to share the same with the EC Group at the earliest possible. It was
also decided to install selfie booth.
4. Discussion on Show cause notice to regular absent members:
President apprised house about constitution clause which details about showcause notice to
regular absent members. It was also iterated to all EC Members that EC represents full PECOSA. Only
if all EC members be present and deliberate the agenda for the benefit of Alumni, only then EC serves
its purpose. Though justified reason by members for being absent is understandable for one odd
meeting but will not be accepted for regular absentees. Only in case of emergency or outstation
members the provision of online meeting is accepted, otherwise one has to attend the offline mode
for betterment of PECOSA. This clause for “Attendance for Members” in the constitution will be
implemented without any laxity henceforth.
4. PECOSA Website: Issue of work order to M/s Almashine for Pecosa website – It was
deliberated by the house and decided that technical details will be discussed further before issue
the work order to M/s Almashine for PECOSA website development/upgradation.
5. Any Other: Batch 1968 was commended by President and EC for their financial contribution for
getting renovation of Drawing Halls in PEC. President urgent other batches to pursue such
contributions for the installation of bust for esteemed PEC Alumni Er. Satish Dhawan and Er.
Kaplana Chawla also.
