The event paid deep homage to India’s spiritual legacy while underscoring the timeless relevance of the Guru’s ideals of courage, sacrifice, and righteousness.

The programme began with a warm welcome by Dr. Pankaj Mala Sharma, who greeted the distinguished guests, faculty members, and students. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by Rajeev Ahuja, Director, Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Dr. Swami Ramneek Krishan Ji Maharaj, and Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, Director, PEC, symbolizing the victory of knowledge over ignorance.

Director, Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia formally welcomed and felicitated the esteemed guests, emphasizing the significance of such programmes in preserving and celebrating India’s rich cultural and spiritual traditions. This was followed by a reflective poem recitation by Shri Narayan Narwal Ji, which added depth and emotional resonance to the occasion.

Swami Ramneek Krishan Ji Maharaj eloquently spoke on India’s vast history, ancient knowledge systems, and technological prowess, reiterating that India has been a Vishwa Guru since ancient times. He cited inspiring episodes from the life and sacrifices of Guru Tegh Bahadur and urged the youth to remain rooted in cultural values while striving for excellence.

Dr. Mala Sharma then recited a heartfelt poem that beautifully echoed Swami Ji’s reflections, adding a contemplative dimension to the gathering. Prof. Rajeev Ahuja spoke on the evolving mindset of Gen Z and the need to channel their energy and innovation towards nation-building, while expressing gratitude to all participants for making the event meaningful.

The programme concluded with a soulful rendition of a Vedic Desh Bhakti Geet, leaving the audience inspired and spiritually uplifted. The seminar stood as a fitting tribute to the ideals of sacrifice, unity, and righteousness, reaffirming PEC’s commitment to nurturing moral and cultural values alongside academic excellence.
