PEC's drone racing team executed a flawless performance in a high-intensity mixed drone race at IIT Mandi Xpecto 2026, securing second place through precision flying and exceptional teamwork. The squad—Rudra Jai Singh (pilot), Samiksha Yadav, and Ansh Agnihotry—demonstrated excellence navigating brutal obstacles and tight loops.
PEC organized an expert session with distinguished researchers from Royal Holloway, University of London, featuring insights on effective colour use in data visualization and statistical modelling. The event explored data visualization best practices while advancing international academic collaboration opportunities between institutions.
Er. Harminder Dhillon (PEC 1987, Electrical) from Canada is a passionate climate advocate dedicated to environmental sustainability and philanthropy. He actively promotes water harvesting initiatives in rural Punjab's Gurudwaras and conducts youth awareness sessions on carbon net zero applications.
PEC students dominated the science quiz competition organized by IISER Chandigarh, claiming first place with exceptional knowledge and collaborative performance. Their winning achievement demonstrates the institution's academic excellence and student capabilities in competitive science events.
PEC hosted the prestigious ASCE India Student Symposium 2026, bringing together 150+ civil engineering students for competitions including the iconic Concrete Canoe challenge. PEC students also claimed first prize at the IETE Chandigarh Science Quiz, with winners advancing to ASCE International Finals in Florida.
PEC alumnus Mr. Jitendra Singh, serving as Commercial Astronaut Candidate and ISRO-CSIR Coordinator, delivered a keynote address at the prestigious Health from Space Congress 2026 in Cannes, France. He received international recognition for showcasing India's spaceflight advancements and the vision for the Bharatiya Antariksha Station to global delegates.
