Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, continues to lead in technical excellence and academic competition. PEC recently served as the host for the ASCE India Student Symposium 2026, a prestigious four-day national event organized in collaboration with the American Society of Civil Engineers and UPES. The symposium brought together over 150 civil engineering students from across India, featuring intense competitions in paper presentations, surveying,and the iconic "Concrete Canoe" challenge. Winners from this event will now advance to represent India at the ASCE International Finals at the University of Florida, USA.

In addition to hosting duties, PEC students demonstrated their intellectual prowess by securing the First Prize at the IETE Chandigarh Science Quiz. Competing against top institutions, the PEC IETE Student Chapter team showcased exceptional quick thinking and technical knowledge to claim the top spot. These achievements underscore PEC's commitment to fostering a dynamic environment for professional development, networking, and competitive spirit among the next generation of engineers.
