The National Service Scheme of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh takes immense pride as Naveen, a 3rd Year Mechanical Engineering student, represented Chandigarh at the prestigious “Know Your Leader” Programme held on 25^th December 2025 at Samvidhan Sadan, New Delhi.

The programme was organised by PRIDE (Parliamentary Research & Training Institute for Democracies), Lok Sabha Secretariat, with the objective of fostering democratic awareness, leadership values, and constitutional understanding among the youth of the country. The event witnessed participation from young representatives across various states, offering them a unique platform to engage with India’s democratic institutions and governance framework.

The event featured an inspiring interaction with Hon’ble Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla, who paid tributes to Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, highlighting their lasting contributions to the nation.

The opportunity to engage directly with national leadership and gain firsthand exposure to India’s parliamentary traditions reflects PEC’s sustained commitment to nurturing socially responsible, informed, and future-ready citizens. Expressing his gratitude, Naveen stated, “I am deeply thankful to Punjab Engineering College for its constant encouragement and guidance, which enabled me to represent both the institution and Chandigarh at such a prestigious national forum.”
