Tanish, a 3rd Year Production & Industrial Engineering student, represented Chandigarh at the National Level Viksit Vibrant Village Programme (VVVP) 2026, organized by MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

Selected among the Top 500 volunteers from over 3 lakh youth participants nationwide, he participated in a week-long immersion in the border villages of Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. The programme included community engagement, cleanliness drives, interactions with ITBP personnel, visits to frontier villages, and exposure to sustainable development initiatives.

The experience provided valuable insights into border area development, environmental sustainability, cultural preservation, youth leadership, and nation-building.
