The Chandigarh administration is considering Punjab Engineering College (PEC) as a key partner for an AI Centre of Excellence under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology's (MeitY) IndiaAI initiative. The project aims to promote AI-driven innovation across healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, and governance, with PEC expected to play a central role in research, testing, piloting, and industry collaboration.
