The National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC) units of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, jointly organized a Flood Relief Drive in collaboration with Tera Hi Tera Mission, Chandigarh.
Tera Hi Tera Mission, under the leadership of its founder and chairperson Dr. H. S. Sabbarwal, has been dedicated to serving humanity through multiple initiatives, including the operation of eye and general health hospitals in the Chandigarh region.
As part of this relief effort, NSS and NCC student volunteers of PEC collected Ration Kits containing essential items such as atta, oil, pulses, biscuits, packed food products, daily-use necessities, blankets, and clothing for flood-affected families.
In addition to the relief materials, a cheque of ₹1,05,435/-—raised through contributions from students, faculty, staff members, and residents of PEC—was handed over to Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, representative of Tera Hi Tera Mission, by Dr. Sandeep Kaur, Dr. Rattan Lal, Dr. Mayank Gupta, and Dr. Mohit Kumar, under the guidance of Dr. D. R. Prajapati, Dean Student Affairs.
This collective effort showcased the strong sense of social responsibility, compassion, and community engagement upheld by the NSS and NCC units of PEC, reinforcing the institute’s commitment to contributing meaningfully during times of crisis.
