Engineer Vijay Kumar Sharma was born on 4th July 1940 in Patiala . After doing schooling he studied in DAV College Jalandhar. 

He joined PEC in 1958. Passed out in 1962 after doing Mechanical 

Engineering. He then joined Heavy Engineering Corporation Ranchi

He worked there for almost 15 years  and then worked in DCM at different positions and worked as President of DCM Engineering at Ropar

After retirement, he worked with EmTech Gurgaon as CEO

He left that company in 2009 and settled in Punchkula.

Very sad to know that we have lost another College mate Engr. Vijay Kumar Sharma Pec 1962 M . He was a very good friend of mine since seventies. We had association as a customer and supplier for many years. Then I joined DCM for a new Project in 1992 and worked with him for 6 years. We also had good family relations. He was a nice person. Though small in height but a very dominating personality. In DCM , he was called as King . Only last month I greeted him on his birthday.

God bless his soul with eternal peace and give strength to his family to bear the loss.

Lost a very close friend Mr Vijay kumar Sharma 1962 Mechanical

I have known him from the day he came to PEC, 67 years back

After passing out from PEC we both joined Heavy Engineering corporation ,Ranchi

After 5 years I went to USA, but Vijay continued in HEC till 1977

After I came back from USA after 7 years, we again got together in Chandigarh, He joined DCM and I Punjab Government

We continued our family like relationship after that

After retirement we used to go on foreign trips very often

His passing has left a great vacuum in my life particularly

He will no more be walking with us physically, but his memories will always stay with me

May God give peace to his departed soul
