Industry Academia Week begins at PEC with Lecture on “Productivity through AI in EV Industry” by Omega Seiki Mobility CSO Vivek Dhawan

Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, commenced its much-anticipated Industry Academia Week today. As part of the inaugural day, the Department of Electrical Engineering hosted a highly engaging lecture on “Productivity through AI in the EV Industry”, delivered by Mr. Vivek Dhawan, Chief Strategy Officer, Omega Seiki Mobility.

 

Mr. Dhawan, a dynamic professional with extensive expertise in business strategy, shared insights drawn from his vast experience in identifying organizational strengths, addressing challenges, and driving sales growth even under sluggish market conditions. With a strong understanding of market dynamics, he emphasized the importance of aligning business goals with sustainable growth practices. His career reflects a proven track record of building and retaining valuable relationships across diverse customer segments, including End Users, OEMs, EPCs, Panel Builders, and Consultants. He is widely recognized as a key strategist, adept at analyzing, planning, and executing business plans across industries, and for his expertise in generating new business, launching products, and expanding existing markets through innovative campaigns.

 

After a brief introduction, Mr. Dhawan initiated an interactive dialogue with students, encouraging them to raise questions about the electric vehicle industry. The session touched upon crucial topics such as the percentage of EV adoption in India, initial investment costs of various EV models, return on investment, and vehicle mileage. He also highlighted the Government’s proactive support in promoting EV adoption through incentives and initiatives aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions and advancing sustainability goals.

 

The lecture proved to be an inspiring and insightful experience for students, blending academic curiosity with real-world industry perspectives. The session concluded on a highly positive note, leaving the audience motivated to explore the evolving opportunities in the EV sector.
