EED-PEC Organized Workshop on Fundamentals of Household Appliances

The Department of Electrical Engineering, PEC (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, organised a workshop on “Fundamentals of Household Appliances: Concept, Working and Hands-on” for school children held on Saturday, 4th October 2025. The workshop was attended by 30 students of Classes 8th and 9th from Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 10, Chandigarh.

 

The initiative was aimed at igniting curiosity, providing practical exposure, and strengthening the understanding of basic household appliances among young students through live demonstrations and interactive hands-on activities.

 

The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. Rintu Khanna, Head, Department of Electrical Engineering. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sandeep Kaur and Dr. Sulata Bhandari, Professors, Department of Electrical Engineering.

 

The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates and mementos to the participants, marking a successful and engaging outreach initiative.
