AIBC Welcomes Datuk Umang Sharma (Production 1983) as New Advisor

Datuk Umang Sharma (Production 1983) was appointed as an Advisor to the ASEAN-India Business Council (AIBC) in the presence of Mr. Jitin Prasada, India's Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & Information Technology, Mr. B.N. Reddy, High Commissioner of India and AIBC Chairman, Dato' Seri N. Gobalakrishnan.

In his new role he looks forward to working towards stronger ASEAN-India partnerships in trade, investment, and technology.

The AIBC serves as a vital platform to foster deeper economic ties, drive trade and investment flows, and strengthen the strategic partnership between ASEAN and India. As Chairman of the Consortium of Indian Industries in Malaysia (CIIM), he has witnessed first-hand the immense potential of collaboration between the two regions — from manufacturing and digital economy to renewable energy, healthcare, and beyond.
