The scholarships, initiated through generous donations from Mr. Ketan Chaudhry and Mrs. Amrita Narang, will benefit four economically underprivileged students each year, focusing on those who have lost one or both parents and are experiencing financial hardship. If no such students are identified, the scholarships will be awarded to other deserving candidates.
A donation of Rs. 5,00,000/- is proposed annually, with each student receiving Rs. 1 lakh per year as a scholarship.
The MoU was signed by Alumnus Ketan Chaudhry (the donor), Prof. Rajesh Bhatia, Director (ad-interim), and Dr. Rajesh Kanda, Head of Alumni, Corporate & International Relations, in the presence of Dr. Jimmy Karloopia, Prof-in-charge (ACIR), Ms. Rajinder Kaur, Alumni Relations Manager, and Prof. Umesh Sharma (Civil Engineering Department). The ceremony was followed by a high tea.
