PEC Centenary Lecture Series I Guest Speaker Dr. K K Talwar
Marie Curie once said “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less."
The year 2020 has been a year of both ups and downs but most importantly, it taught us self-evaluation and introspection and while we step into another year with greater things to achieve, we must first make ourselves aware of the circumstances and respective consequences of the ongoing pandemic, Covid-19. And we could not find someone else doing a better job than the man himself, Dr. Kewal Kishan Talwar. He is an Indian cardiologist, medical academic and writer, and a former Chairman of the Medical Council of India. He is also a former director of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. He is also a recipient of the third-highest civilian award, Padma Bhushan owing to his remarkable contributions in the field of medical sciences.
Dr. Talwar will be speaking on the topic “Covid-19 - 2021 ushering Hopes” on 2nd January 2021 at 7.30 PM IST.
This lecture is a part of the ongoing PEC Centenary Lecture Series hosted by Punjab Engineering College as it celebrates the grand milestone of entering its 100th year since its establishment in 1921. So mark your calendars and join this session to kick start the new year!
