PEC Alumni Webinar Series (PWS): “Introduction to Business Strategy and Careers in Management Consulting” by Alum Suruchi Sharma. Monday, 27th July; 19:30 IST + UTC 5.30

In the next edition of the PEC Alumni Webinar Series, we have Alum Suruchi Sharma. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering in 2000 and an MBA from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) in 2007. She is currently working as the Senior Director; Corporate Strategy at T-Mobile; a leading Telecom company in the US.

Before this, she was the Vice President of Enterprise Strategy and Market Intelligence at Flextronics, a multi-billion dollar design and manufacturing solutions provider. During her 4 years at Flex, she supported the organization on a variety of strategic decisions. Before that, she was a Strategy Consultant with Roland Berger and Charles River Associates in Boston for 6 years. In the early years of her career, she also worked as a computer engineer for companies like IBM.
She was nominated for Women in Leadership at Flex, a women’s executive leadership program run by Korn Ferry; a global consulting firm. She was one of the 25 women who were selected out of 200k to work on professional development.

She will be presenting on the topic “Introduction to Business Strategy and Careers in Management Consulting”. With her vast experience and knowledge in the field of consulting, she aims to address the differences between Sales and Engineering. She will be sharing some of the challenging business problems she has solved over the last few years and how an engineer’s mindset helps in attaining success in careers beyond engineering.
