MoU Signed Between PEC and PSPCL for Collaborative Partnership

On 25th September 2024, Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to foster collaboration in various areas of research, training, and skill development.The event saw the esteemed presence of PEC Director, Prof. Rajesh Bhatia, along with Dr. Rajesh Kanda, Head of Alumni Corporate & International Relations, Dr. Jimmy Karloopia, Prof.-in-charge Alumni Corporate & International Relations, Alumni Relations Manager, Rajinder Kaur, Prof. J.D. Sharma, Head of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering Department, and Prof. Uma Batra, Dean Faculty Affairs. Several other distinguished professors from the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering Departments were also in attendance. Representing PSPCL were Director Ravinder Singh Saini & Sh. Anupam Joshi with some of the dignitaries from PSPCL.

The MoU aims to promote industrial training, visits, and capacity-building programs, offering PEC students and faculty an opportunity to gain insight into the latest industry developments. Additionally, data exchange for research purposes, collaborative applied studies, and co-hosting of workshops, seminars, and training programs are included in the scope of the agreement. Both institutions will collaborate on cutting-edge areas like material selection, failure analysis, data analytics, and power distribution systems, with a focus on enhancing skills and providing real-world solutions.
