With profound grief, PEC informs the untimely demise of Alum Mr Ravi Khanna, PEC'80 Mechanical Engineering batch.

When an inspirational personality goes, he leaves behind the bare footmarks which are responsible for the success of thousands.

Mr Khanna was working as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for ABREL, the renewables entity for 'Aditya BirlaGroup'. Before joining the Aditya Birla Group, he worked with several other companies including Moser Baer Photovoltaic Ltd., and PV Technologies India Limited, where he created one of the fastest-growing manufacturing capacities in Asia. Mr Khanna also served as a member of the Indian PM’s Solar Technology Mission and also engaged very closely with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), IREDA (Indian Renewable Development Agency) and NORAD (Development Agency of Norway) on development of the future renewable and sustainable energy platforms in India.

For his exemplary work in the field, he had been recognised as Aditya Birla Group “Outstanding Leader 2016” and was also awarded “Delphi Chairman’s Global Performance Recognition Award”. To give tribute to such a great leader, Aditya Birla Group introduced 3 awards that simply reflects the principles of Mr Kumar's life - Surya Amal, Surya Pratistha and Surya Nishtha. 'Surya Amal' talks about strong characteristics for achieving goals and results, 'Surya Pratistha' and 'Surya Nishtha' marks the determination and commitment to bring growth to the society.

Unfortunately, such a passionate soul is no more among us.
