Golden Jubilee Meet of the batch of 1973

Dr. Baldev Setia, Director PEC, was the Chief Guest at Golden Jubilee Meet of the batch of 1973 held on 11 March 2023. The meet was attended enthusiastically by 90 alumni of the 1973 batch including 5 from overseas. Dr Rajesh Kanda (Head, Alumni Corporate and International Relations), Dr. Jimmy Karloopia (Prof-In-Charge ACIR), Ms. Rajinder Kaur (Alumni Relations Manager) and Dr DR Prajapati (Dean Student Affairs) also graced the occasion.  Er KK Vohra in his welcome address on behalf of his batchmates lauded the efforts being made by Dr. Baldev Setia for improving the national ranking of PEC. Dr. Baldev Setia presented mementoes to the alumni of the batch to honour them on completion of 50 years of excellence in engineering after their passing out in 1973. The Video Chitti Dadhi (चिट्ठी दाढ़ी ...) created by Er Shashi Sachdeva and others, which was displayed on the occasion, became viral among the alumni of various institutions. The batch mates also organised a function in the evening in Shivalik View Hotel to celebrate 50 years of togetherness. The Punjabi folk songs and Gidda were the highlights of next day celebrations on 12 March 2023 in Chandigarh Club.
