PEC organized a Mental Health Awareness session under the Special Counselling Cell featuring Ms. Komila Parthi discussing emotional well-being, cognitive reframing, visualization, meditation, and personal boundary-setting. Dean Student Affairs Dr. D. R. Prajapati encouraged students to prioritize mental health and seek support when needed through interactive discussions on stress management and overall well-being.
Our classmate Dr Suresh C Bansal (63 Mechanical) passed away on March 25 due to brain hemorrhage. He had been living in Detroit, Michigan for 55 years and is survived by four daughters with successful families and careers. Obituary and condolences messages were received from alumni across the globe honoring his memory.
PEC Chandigarh's annual Spectrum Festival brings together artists and photographers for two unforgettable days of creativity featuring Canvas Conclave, Fabric Fusion, Painted Personas, Brand in Frame, Narrative Lens with an ₹80,000 prize pool for artists and photographers to showcase talent and creativity.
The wonderful Get-Together of PEC 1963 batch friends convened on March 26 at Laguna Hills, California, featuring memorable reunions of alumni who reconnected decades after graduation, celebrating lifelong bonds and shared memories from their college years.
Under the National Quantum Mission, PEC was selected among 23 laboratories across India to develop advanced quantum technologies with a ₹1 crore grant supporting research and innovation, providing students and researchers platforms for cutting-edge quantum experiments and strengthening India's position in emerging technologies.
Our dear Pecosian Lt Col Ajay Takroo (Retd), 1972 Civil, passed away on March 30, 2026. Heartfelt condolences were extended to his bereaved family from alumni worldwide honoring his memory and legacy as a conscientious, disciplined, and well-regarded member of the PEC community.
PEC Alumnus Er. Jitendra Singh was honoured at the Global Space Congress in France for delivering India's opening address alongside NASA astronauts, highlighted as a graduate of Aeronautical Engineering sharing the legacy of NASA astronaut Kalpana Chawla, filling PECosians with immense pride.
INTACH Punjab participated in Dual Discussions at a historic event, featuring panel discussions on Ferozpur Gazetteer (past and present) and contributions of Punjab soldiers in World Wars with village-level mapping, being the only organization participating in both important sessions.
